Hiking around Oahu

Part 3 of WFH Series: Oahu

This might as well be titled ‘Muddiest hikes in Oahu’, as for some lucky reason, most of our hiking excursions were marred by rain and mud. Thank goodness for hiking poles, breathtaking views (including evasive rainbows), and post-hike dessert runs.

Stairway to Heaven yet again remains on my bucket list. The weather prevented us from attempting this already questionable hike, but something to look forward to next time.

Kaena Point Trail

Located at the most western tip of Oahu, Kaena Point is a nature reserve and seabird sanctuary. We went at the perfect time. Ten or so whales jumped about as we were eating, and groups of albatrosses were doing their mating dance as we were leaving.
